Announcing the 2025 NewIBNET Data Pioneers Delegation to Bangkok – Expanding a Global Community

Every year, the NewIBNET community grows in strength, diversity, and shared purpose. During our recent live event, we officially welcomed the 2025 Data Pioneers - the utilities, associations, and regulators - who completed their 2024 data submission and joined NewIBNET as full members. Their commitment to transparency and continuous improvement continues to shape a vibrant global benchmarking community.

A Community Powered by Data and Commitment

This year’s cohort reflects the dedication of organizations that recognize the value of accurate utility data and sector-wide learning. As full members, the 2025 Data Pioneers now access the complete NewIBNET services: from interactive dashboards and KPI visualizations to the global community platform. These services help utilities compare performance, exchange experiences, and take concrete steps toward more reliable, efficient service delivery. You can join them now: Free Registration & World Bank Data Services!

Welcoming Regulators: A Strategic Expansion

For the first time, NewIBNET formally welcomed regulators into the Data Pioneers community. Regulators play a central role in strengthening data quality and ensuring accountability across the sector. Their participation enhances the benchmarking ecosystem and creates opportunities for more aligned policies, standards, and performance tracking benefiting the entire water sector.

From Dashboards to Analytics

With three years of the redesigned NewIBNET platform in operation, we are now beginning the first in-depth analytics of the global dataset. These analyses will help identify emerging trends, highlight performance patterns, and provide practical insights for utilities and regulators. Starting next year, members will see more narrative-driven analysis that complements the existing dashboards and supports data-informed decision-making.

A Continued Partnership with IWA from Kigali to Toronto and now Bangkok

Our partnership with the International Water Association (IWA) enters its third year. Once again, the NewIBNET Data Pioneers will have the opportunity to participate in the IWA Water & Development Congress (this year in Bangkok), engaging with peers from around the world and sharing experiences from their utilities and regions.
