This initiative is a joint effort by NewIBNET, EqualAqua, and Utilities of the Future, three World Bank programs coming together to create a unified platform for engaging discussions on the challenges and opportunities in water and sanitation management.
The Water Round Tables focus on peer-to-peer learning and interactive exchanges, offering practical insights on topics like leadership, operational efficiency, inclusivity, and climate adaptation. Each 60-minute session will feature diverse formats, including live polls, case studies, expert panels, and networking opportunities, ensuring dynamic and engaging experiences for attendees. This series is multi-lingual and offers events in different languages and sometimes a specific regional focus.
The first session, The Path for Women to Leadership Positions in Water, will take place on December 11, 2024. This session will explore barriers to gender diversity in leadership and provide actionable strategies to promote women’s career advancement in the water sector. This session will be held in Spanish!
Following this, the next session, Meters, Metrics, and Minds: Elevating Utility Collection Rates with Technology and Community Collaboration, is scheduled for February 12, 2025. This event will dive into innovative approaches to improving collection rates, leveraging smart technology, and fostering community involvement for sustainable utility performance.
