As we progress through 2025, NewIBNET is excited to announce that 2024 Data Entry for Performance Benchmarking is now open! With several new features rolled out over the past months, your benchmarking experience is now more powerful than ever— thanks to your valuable feedback.
Multi-Year Benchmarking: Compare and Track Progress Over Time
One of the most significant upgrades is the introduction of multi-year benchmarking. If you’ve submitted data for 2022 or 2023, you can now compare performance over multiple years, gaining deeper insights into trends and progress. This feature helps utilities assess the impact of strategic decisions and management practices over time.
Redesigned Dashboards: More Insights at a Glance
Our dashboards have undergone a major redesign based on user input, making them even more intuitive and insightful. The interactive design allows you to filter data by year, indicator, and region—so you can focus on what matters most to your utility. Additionally, dashboards are now downloadable, enabling you to export them as reports for internal analysis and presentations.
You can check them via the NewIBNET portal (for members) or the Utility Dashboards Space on the Website (for external users)!
Correlation Analysis: Unlock New Learning Opportunities
Another key enhancement is the ability to create custom correlations between indicators. For example, you can analyze how Collection Rates relate to Operation Cost Coverage, helping to better understand how operational changes affect key performance indicators (KPIs). This fosters a data-driven learning experience and supports informed decision-making.

Expanded Language Options for a More Inclusive Experience
To ensure accessibility, we introduced a multi-language setup in late 2024. The NewIBNET website and Utility Portal are now available in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and English, making data entry easier and more inclusive for utilities worldwide.
New "Compare" Tab: Exclusive for Members
Many of you expressed the need for a more tailored benchmarking experience, and we listened! The new "Compare" tab, available exclusively to NewIBNET members, allows direct comparisons between utilities of your choice. This is especially useful for utilities in similar regions or with comparable challenges, enabling more relevant peer learning.
Check it directly in your NewIBNET Portal (for members only)!

Multi-User Access: Improved Collaboration Within Your Utility
Utility benchmarking is a team effort, and now your entire team can participate! Responding to your requests, we’ve introduced multi-user functionality, allowing multiple colleagues from the same utility to register, access the Utility Portal, and contribute in the same data entry. This ensures that benchmarking insights are more widely available within your organization.
Submit Your 2024 Data and Take Advantage of These Enhancements
These improvements were made with you in mind — to enhance your benchmarking experience and provide greater value. By submitting your 2024 data, you not only keep your utility’s performance up to date but also unlock the benefits of multi-year comparisons and interactive insights.
Log in to the NewIBNET Portal today, enter your 2024 data, and experience these powerful new tools firsthand. Thank you for your continued participation and feedback — we look forward to another year of impactful benchmarking together!
